Biography
R. Rathiya, M.E., (Ph.D) is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology at Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. She is pursuing her Ph.D. under Anna University, Chennai. With over seven years of teaching experience, She has published 6 journal papers, 23 international conference papers including several Scopus-indexed and IEEE-sponsored publications, 2 books and 1 Scopus-indexed book chapter. Her academic contributions also include 6 patents, of which one patent has been granted. She has successfully secured research grants, including ₹1,00,000 from AICTE-ATAL for conducting a six-day Faculty Development Programme and ₹7,500 from TNSCST for a student innovation project. She was recognized as a Distinguished Speaker at the 3rd Global Congress on Advances in Addiction Medicine and Mental Health (ADV. AMMH 2025), Canada. She has actively participated in 16 Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), 1 Short-Term Training Programme (STTP), 2 workshops and 2 seminars. She has earned 6 NPTEL certifications, completed several industry-recognized certifications from Infosys, Oracle, and Dell Technologies, and has served as a mentor for 8 NPTEL courses. She is also a certified coach for the “AI for Youth Program” conducted by Dell Technologies and actively mentors students in research, innovation and emerging technologies. Ms. Rathiya strongly believes in outcome-based education, research-driven learning and industry-oriented skill development. Through her teaching, research, mentorship and innovation activities, she continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of engineering education and emerging technologies. Her current research focuses on developing intelligent and sustainable solutions by integrating Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, IoT, Blockchain, and Computer Vision technologies for next-generation smart systems in agriculture, healthcare, environmental monitoring, and cybersecurity.
