Biography
Dr. S. Gokulraj is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) at Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science and Engineering and Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Paavai Engineering College, affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. He earned his doctoral degree from Anna University, Chennai, with research focused on Cloud Computing, Cost Optimization, and Optimization Techniques. With more than 17 years of academic experience, Dr. Gokulraj has established himself as a dedicated educator, researcher, and academic administrator. He has successfully guided over 100 undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, fostering innovation and research-oriented learning. His research interests include Cloud Computing Security, Cost Optimization, Blockchain Integration in Cloud Computing and Cyber Security. He has published more than 15 research papers in reputed international journals and national and international conferences. His scholarly contributions include research on secure cost optimization, cloud security, blockchain-enabled cloud architectures, and AI-driven healthcare data classification. Dr. Gokulraj is also an innovator with three Indian patents and one copyright to his credit, reflecting his commitment to research, innovation, and technology development. He has actively participated in numerous Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), conferences, workshops, seminars, and technical training programmes across India. He serves as a reviewer for reputed Scopus-indexed journals, including Springer and the International Journal of Recent Scientific Research, contributing to the advancement of quality research in computer science and cyber security. He has successfully secured an AICTE-ATAL grant of ₹93,000 for organizing a five-day AICTE-sponsored Faculty Development Programme on Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), demonstrating his active involvement in promoting emerging technologies in higher education. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Dr. Gokulraj actively contributes to academic leadership through various institutional and professional roles. He is a member of several prestigious professional organizations, including the IEEE, Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA), the International Computer Science and Engineering Society (ICSES), and the International Association of Engineers (IAENG). Through these professional affiliations, he continues to promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and excellence in education, research, and cyber security.
