Biography

Dr. N. Premkumar is an accomplished academician, researcher, and educator with over 15 years of experience in engineering education. He has built a distinguished career in teaching, research, academic administration, and curriculum development. His areas of expertise include Fog Computing, Edge Computing, Cloud Computing, Network Security, Object-Oriented Design and Analysis, Data Science and Big Data Analytics. He is committed to fostering technical excellence, critical thinking, and leadership qualities among students while maintaining a learner-centric and innovation-driven teaching approach. Throughout his career, Dr. Premkumar has made significant contributions to research and higher education. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering and has published numerous SCI and Scopus-indexed research articles in the fields of fog computing, blockchain, cybersecurity, edge computing, and optimization algorithms. As an author, he has contributed academic textbooks in areas such as Java Programming, Database Management Systems, Object-Oriented Programming, Mobile Application Development, User Interface Design, and Electronic Commerce. His scholarly activities extend to serving as a reviewer for an international journal and actively participating in national and international conferences, faculty development programmes, and research initiatives. In addition, he has successfully held various leadership roles, and has secured funding from prestigious organizations for organizing academic and technical programmes.
