Short Bio

Mr.R. B. Selvakumar has currently working as Assistant Professor (Sl. Gr.) in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He received his Doctoral Degree in Electrical Engineering from Anna University, M.E., degree in Power Electronics and Drives from Anna University, B.E., degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, India and Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from PSG Tech, Coimbatore, India. He is pursuing his doctoral degree under Anna University. He has a teaching experience of 13 years. His research interests are Power Electronics for Electric Vehicles, Renewable Energy Systems, Smart Grid & Power Quality. He has attended more than 25 Faculty Development Programs, 30 workshops/seminars and 5 short term courses organized by various reputed institutions across the nation. He has completed the UPSKILL test from Cambridge. He has published 16 papers in reputed referred International & National Journals and Conferences. He is the author of book titled "BASICS OF POWER ELECTRONICS". He has guided 15 UG student’s projects and 4 PG student’s projects. He has mentored the best team in KPIT Sparkle 2022, a national level Project contest. He has acted as primary evaluator for Toycathon organized by MHRD, India. He had completed a consultancy project on “DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF 2/3 PHASE PANEL FOR OPEN WELL SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS” at Shreenitha Engineering, Coimbatore, funded with Rs.1,00,000/- . He is a Life Member of Institution of Engineers (India) and ISTE.
