Short Bio

Dr. D.Palanikkumar has completed his Bachelor of Engineering Degree in CSE from Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore; he did his Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli, Anna University. During his Master's programme, he was awarded a stipend for being a GATE qualifier. He received his doctor of philosophy in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai with Web Services and SOA as his research realm. He has guided more than 100 Post and Undergraduate students. He has published as many as 60 papers in reputed International Journals, International and National Conferences. He also has published 3 patents in Indian patent journal and received granted status for 2 patents. He has chaired and organized several Conferences/Workshops/Seminars and served as Guest Speaker in many events in India and abroad. He is a reviewer of various Scopus indexed, referred journals including Springer, Elsevier, IGI Global and so on. He has more than sixteen years of experience in industry and academia. He has served in various portfolios such as Onsite Project Coordinator, Deputy Director Sports, Research Coordinator, HoD, Chief Warden, Academic Coordinator and coordinator for first Year students during his tenure in industry and academics. He is and has been a member of various academic and professional committees and chapters. He is serving as a member in 2 industry boards which focus on automation. He is consulting for various companies that look for digital transformation. He works in India and frequently travelled to countries like Singapore, Maldives, Srilanka, Mauritius and Thailand for off shore projects. He was awarded a sanction of 40 Lakh INR towards a project from DST under Young Scientist Scheme. He was awarded for his proficiency in studies for his higher secondary mark from Vijayalakshmi Charitable Trust. He is also a recipient of Nehru Yuva-Kendra award for helping differently able people. Currently, he is working as Professor and Head in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in Dr NGP Institute of Technology.
