Short Bio

Dr. R. Saranya is currently serving as a Faculty Member in the Department of Management Studies at Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. She holds an MBA from Coimbatore Institute of Management & Technology, and has completed PGDCA, M.Phil. in Finance, and Ph.D. in Finance from Bharathiar University. With over 11 years of teaching experience, Dr. Saranya has made significant academic contributions, with more than ten research papers published in reputed national and international journals and conferences. She has also actively participated in several Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) and Management Development Programs (MDPs) to enhance her teaching and research capabilities. She successfully completed a research project funded by the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology, receiving a grant in support of her work. She has been recognized with prestigious accolades such as the Top Performing Mentor Award and Discipline Star Award from NPTEL, reflecting her excellence in mentoring and academic involvement. Dr. Saranya is a member of leading professional bodies including the All India Council for Technical Skill Development, National Institute for Technical Training & Skill Development, and the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). She was honored with the Social Service Award by the Rotary Club of Coimbatore East for her contributions to community development. Her industry engagement includes consultancy assignments in Financial Management and spearheading industry-institute collaborations through MoUs. She has also conducted special training sessions for healthcare professionals and is the author of the book "Fintech: Shaping the Future of Digital India."
