Short Bio
Dr. Chandrasekharan Nataraj is currently working as a professor in ECE department at the Dr.N.G.P. Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, India. Prior to this, he worked as a senior lecturer at the School of Engineering, Asia Pacific University (APU), Malaysia. He is an active member of Sustainable, Energy Harvesting, and IOT research groups. He has completed his PhD in engineering from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Malaysia. He has obtained a Chartered Engineer (CEng) from the Engineering Council, UK, and is a Graduate Member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). He is also a professional member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), Hong Kong. Dr. Chandrasekharan has advised or co-advised 2 PhDs, 4 MPhils, and more than 50 final-year projects. He is also serving as session chair, reviewer, and advisory committee member for many international conferences and journals. He has published 60 research articles in both SCI, SCIE, and Scopus-indexed journals and conferences as an author co-author, and corresponding Author. Dr Chandrasekharan is an editor-in-chief and a reviewer for the university's Journal of Applied Technology and Innovation (JATI). He also serves as a reviewer for the open-access journals IEEE Access, Heliyon, and JTEC. He has worked as a committee member and session chair for the international conference Sustainable Innovation in Engineering & Technology (SIET) hosted by Asia Pacific University in 2021, 2023, and 2023. Dr Chandrasekharan has been mentoring students for various competitions every year, and his team won a silver medal for the best innovation in the academic category in the ITEX’22 competition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His research interests include the Internet of Things, wireless power transferring techniques, renewable energies, energy harvesters, microstrip and wearable antennas.
