Short Bio
Dr. P.Gopi Krishnan completed his under-graduation in B.E (Production Engineering) from Sethu Institute of Technology, Madurai Kamaraj University in 2004 and post-graduation in M.E (Manufacturing Engineering) from Jayaram College of Engineering and Technology, Anna University, Chennai in 2008. He obtained his doctorate in Friction stir welding of composites, Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai in 2018. He has total experience of 16 years (14 years in Teaching and 2 years in Industry). He has published 7 research papers in leading international and national journals and presented about 6 research papers in leading International and national conferences. He has two published patents on his account with the titles “Solar based Smart Irrigation System” and “Manufacturing of Light weight construction panel by recycling Thermocol”. He has guided more than 20 projects for UG students and 2 Projects for PG students. He is a review member and Editorial member of renowned journals such as Elsevier-Material Today Proceedings etc.. He has organized many Faculty Development Programs, Seminars, Webinars and Workshops to Faculty and Students. He has delivered many guest lecturers in various FDPs and workshops in the topics of Multi-objective Optimization, Genetic Algorithm, Nature Inspired Algorithms etc., He is an active member in professional societies such as ISTE, SAE and IAENG. He has been awarded as the Best Faculty Advisor-SAE in 2016. He has acted as Faculty Advisor and Mentor for the Student teams that participated in International Gokart Championship held in Lovely Professional University, Punjab, Quad-Torc Championship in SP Degree College, Uttar Pradesh and BAJA Championship in Madhya Pradesh. He has guided the students’ teams that participated and won in Student Conventions held in Chennai, Erode and Hyderabad in various events such as Aeromodeling, CAD Modeling, Business Presentation and so on.
