Short Bio
Dr.M.S.Kamalesh obtained his engineering bachelors in the year 2010 from K.S.R College of Engineering and completed his Masters in Power Electronics and Drives in the year 2012 from Sona College of Technology. He has 12 years of teaching experience in the wider parts of Power Electronics and Drives. He started his research by the year 2017 in the area of DC-DC converters and its application to DC-Microgrids. In the year 2018, he received Summer Faculty Research Fellowship (SFRF) at IIT-Delhi under the supervision of Prof.M.Veerachary. He received SERB-TARE research grant in the year 2020 with the worth of Rs.18.3 Lakhs in collaboration with NIT-Trichy with the Host Professor.G.Saravana Ilango of Electrical Engineering. He received the SERB prestigious fellowship of SERB International Research Excellence Fellowship with a grant of Rs.17.34 Lakhs in the year 2022 to pursue his international research experience at Ostfold University - Norway under the mentorship of Prof.Lucian Mihet Poppa. He is an Anna University registered supervisor under the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. His core research interests includes Power converter design and control, Implementation of Sliding Mode Controllers, EV-Battery chargers and cybersecurity in charging stations, Design and development of HIL & SIL integration pertaining to EV systems. He has published 15 papers in the core area of power electronics and DC Microgrids. He has presented papers and posters in prestigious conferences like IEEE-PEDES, IEEE-MASCON and in reputed institutions like IIT-Madras, NIT-Patna and NIT-Jaipur.
